Looking for the ultimate
pet-lovers gift?
Tired of buying pussycat calendars,
coffee mugs with dog mugs,
and lame booties for Foofoo?

According to the American Pet
Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA):
“For 2006, it is estimated that $38.4 billion
will be spent on our pets in the U.S”.
That’s BILLION! Aren't there 9 zeroes in a billion?!
Who's spending all that money?!
WE ARE! The pet and animal lovers of the world! My name is Judy, and I am the proud mother of an African Grey, a Tom cat, a Birman Siamese, and a hotot rabbit. I love purchasing (and receiving as gifts!) animal-related stuff! What pet or animal lover doesn't? I have books, posters, coffee mugs, calendars, keychains, antenna toppers, clothing - this list goes on and on.
But when I search for gifts for an animal-lover friend of mine, I like to find something UNIQUE! I was finding what's out there outdated and rather boring. It was time to do something about it!
So, I created,
The Lucy-The-Talking-Bird eBook!

Lucy-The-Talking-Bird is a colorful eBook, complete with flipping pages and 'Read' buttons, allowing the reader to 'listen' to the story! Told in rhyme, this unique story will bring joy to cat and bird lovers alike!
I've been enjoying the antics of an African Grey co-existing with two cats for over 4 years now. Putting the story to rhyme gave me a great deal of pleasure during it's creation, but I also believed it would make the story more appealing to children. Much to my surprise, many of our adult friends, who have no children, have purchased the eBook!
But children do seem to enjoy it as well. They love the 'live' pictures of the animals, seeming to prefer them to drawings or cartoons. And for the lucky children who live in homes where people share their lives with companion animals, the thrill is even greater, as they relate to those cats and that bird based on their own experiences!
Our very first sale . . . When we travel, Renae, long-time friend and fellow cat and fish lover, takes care of the animals. Naturally, after finishing the first Lucy-The-Talking-Bird eBook, we wanted Renae's opinion. She read, and listened to, every page of the book. She adored the pictures of these animals that she had come to know, and was thoroughly impressed with the rhyme. I offered to burn her a copy on a CD, but she absolutely refused. “I’m going to buy that eBook! Those animals are a part of my family!” Pleased as punch, we decided to ‘put the test’ to other friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. Much to our amazement, it didn’t matter that the reader had never met our pets, nor did the reader need to be a ‘pet owner’ at all. |
Just after finishing the book, I had a chat with a dear friend in Dallas, TX, who had agreed to critique the eBook: Judy: “Did you really like it? I was so excited when you said you had reviewed it and liked it!!!! I HAD A HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE :)” John: “Yeah, i did like it....i was cracking up on some of it...” Judy: “lol” John: “Lucy needs to kick that cats a _ _!” Judy: “rofl” Judy: “Next volume!” John: “It reminded me so much of Tweety Bird and Sylvester the cat cartoon....remember those...” John J. Yeah . . . I remember those cartoons, John. You’re revealing my age! ;)
Give your favorite animal-loving adults or
pet-loving children the eBook that will be read
(and listened to) again and again.
